  1. Yes, we understand clearly; we are grievously tangled in our sins! We are foolish beyond belief! I for one, however, have not said that there is no God. I heard His Words, many times, “Come unto me ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” He says we should take His yoke upon us and learn of Him. Unlike us, He is meek and lowly at heart, he will give us rest for our souls. Our sins? Why did He triumph over death if we could not be forgiven? Why did he ascend to God’s right hand if there is no power given to Him to be our king? Yes, we’re too stupid to free ourselves. He says that who he sets free is free indeed.
We are baptized into His death, Paul says. We are raised with him as well. Baptism saves us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Christ is our clothing, he makes us no longer naked and ashamed.
Lastly, he taught us how to pray. If we pray the words he taught us, he will hear and help us. He delivers us from “the evil one”. He helps us to resist temptation to sin. We are truly blest, he has had mercy on us when we asked.
