One thought on “Christ in the Old Testament- Psalm 80”
I wonder when this psalm was written. Very few of Joseph’s line are left today. A lot of them were wiped out after the kingdom divided. And yet, we still have this wonderful psalm. It certainly stands out that Joseph’s line asks for mercy. Any Samarians who became Christian received their shepherd king and their prayers for mercy were answered. Thanks be to God, Jesus even now intercedes for us with the Father. He knows our needs, even before we ask. Isn’t it Jeremiah who says “While they are yet speaking, I will answer.” I think that appears in Chapter 31 or 33. I wish people spoke more often of Jesus as the shepherd king.
