  1. I have a friend who, of late, feels herself to be very fragile, smoking flax bruised reed kind of fragile. She would tremble in terror and despair at some of the things you have said. She thinks that no matter what she does, she’s destined for failure. Aren’t all of us? We are all sinners and without Christ to help us, we would die. He died in our place sacrificing himself on the cross that we might be saved. When we sin, we have an advocate, Jesus Christ the Righteous who is the propitiation for our sins. He was baptized in the Jordan by John the Baptist. At our baptism, we are burried with Him and raised again in his resurrection. We don’t have to be afraid. Jesus is holding on to us and he won’t let go! No one can take us away from Him. The Lord’s Supper is available to us and by receiving His body and Blood, we are cleansed, forgiven, and set free. There is a whole list of scriptures to which I could refer but I won’t. I’ll list a few, though, just off the top of my head.
    Psalm 27
    Psalm 23
    Joh,n 1, 1-18
    John 14, 1-F
    Philipians 4, 3-13
    1 John 1
    Acts 2
    Acts 6-7
This last referring to Stephen the martyr. Yes, he was stoned but Jesus came for him and took him where he would be safe.
